Furrows of the Skin addresses the materiality of human beings and objects, exploring their interrelationships. With the growing distortion of beauty ideals in media, especially concerning skin, the artist uses its permeable nature to question perceptions of beauty and perfection. Through sculptural works, the artist impresses her hands into clay, creating textures that reflect the process of unveiling hidden forms as the clay slowly peels away, revealing fingerprints and marks that define the space and fullness of the objects.
